Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using The Lecture Lab ("the service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Description of Service
The Lecture Lab provides tools to turn lecture recordings and uploaded documents into study materials such as notes, study guides, flashcards, and quizzes. Materials are generated by automated systems and may contain errors or omissions.
Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us of any unauthorized use. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account; if you are under 18, you should use the service with parent or guardian involvement.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and only with content you have the right to use. You may not upload content that infringes others' rights, violates any law, or that you are not authorized to record or share. You are responsible for complying with your institution's policies regarding recording lectures.
Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the service to you (including sending it to third-party processors for transcription and generation). We do not claim ownership of your materials.
Subscriptions and Payments
The service offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through our payment provider, Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Plan Limits
Each plan includes a defined number of lectures or features as described on our pricing page. We may modify plans, features, and pricing with reasonable notice.
Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Generated study materials are for study assistance only and may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for verifying important information. We do not guarantee any particular academic outcome.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Lecture Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
